World of Literacy: Grade 4

The Achievements World of Literacy Curriculum builds reading comprehension skills through the use of educational reading materials that are suitable for Yeshivos and Bais Yaakovs.

The lessons presented in this curriculum are vehicles for students to gain vital literacy skills that are well-suited to the reading that will be required of them during their years in school and beyond.

Features of World of Literacy

Original, non-fiction passages on engaging topics likeJohnny Appleseed, geysers and volcanoes, Woodpeckers, Polio Vaccine and glassblowing.
Lessons include closed- and open-ended questions aligned with Common Core standards, designed by ELA experts to build critical thinking (Bloom’s Taxonomy).
Built-in vocabulary curriculum can be used alone or with other classroom activities.
Teacher edition includes activity ideas, interactive discussion prompts, and three comprehension check-in questions per lesson.
Supplemental USB provides links to printouts, educational videos, and other online resources.
