MY HANDWRITING WORKBOOK
The Achievements My Handwriting Workbook curriculum teaches students to form their letters and numbers legibly via a multisensory approach that integrates visuals, hands-on activities, songs, and writing exercises. The goal of this program is for students to finish the year as confident writers who can form all the letters and numbers. The team behind this program includes an occupational therapist who shared her decade of experience in the field and advised on best practices. Features of Handwriting Workbook:
- Students begin the year learning to draw lines and shapes and finish the year writing words and phrases.
- Every lesson begins with an engaging, colorful, and fun “hook” activity designed to engage students’ prior knowledge and facilitate student interest in the lesson.
- Each letter formation is introduced via a clear visual model along with step-by-step oral instructions to reinforce new concepts in a multisensory format.
- The supplemental USB drive holds flashcards that model each letter’s formation. Teachers can print out these flashcards for students to keep near their desks and reference as needed.
- The supplemental USB drive also holds additional activities, handwriting practice, homework, and exercises designed to reinforce handwriting concepts.
